Souriyat Across Borders (SAB) continues to strengthen its active role in Syria’s humanitarian and development landscape through a series of initiatives and partnerships aimed at supporting the most vulnerable populations and improving the quality of services provided to local communities. The organization has recently achieved several milestones that reflect its commitment to its humanitarian mission and vision for sustainable development.
Among these efforts, SAB recently held several important meetings and conferences, including a meeting with representatives from the Al-Sana Charitable Foundation to explore opportunities for collaboration. During this meeting, SAB was honored with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its impactful contributions to the Eid Clothing Campaign, which brought joy to many families in need.
As part of our efforts to strengthen the healthcare sector, SAB oversaw the renovation of several clinics affiliated with the Ayadina Association in Latakia. The renovation included the restoration of multiple departments: internal medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and gynecology. These renovations will offer comprehensive, free medical services to the local community and significantly improve public health, especially in underserved areas.
SAB also met with Dar Al-Azm For Visually Impaired Women in Damascus to explore ways to enhance collaboration in support of elderly blind women. The discussion focused on creating a safe and supportive environment and produced several constructive ideas that SAB will implement in partnership with Dar Al-Azm. This initiative reflects SAB’s belief in the importance of community partnerships in achieving meaningful social development.
SAB’s COO & Programmes Manager, Salah Aldin Falioun, has taken a leading role in promoting local governance and capacity-building in Syria. He recently participated in a meeting with representatives of Syrian civil society and a delegation from the International Cooperation Agency of the Association of Dutch Municipalities. Held at the Madaniya organization’s headquarters in Damascus, the meeting explored strategies to enhance international cooperation in support of local services and institutional development. Falioun also participated in the Khasb Conference (Steps for Making and Building), a two-day economic and development forum in Damascus. The event aimed to revitalize Syria’s economy and reconnect Syrians inside the country and abroad through a series of engaging seminars and panel discussions focused on economics, technology, investment opportunities, and entrepreneurship.
At Souriyat Across Borders, we believe that humanitarian and development work cannot succeed without collective effort and strong partnerships. We remain steadfast in our mission to support communities across Syria and are committed to building a brighter future for all.
These recent achievements represent tangible steps toward realizing our vision: one that places human dignity at the heart of our work and strives to create lasting, positive change in the lives of those we serve.
